2.2.2 on APU SD card fails to boot nano bsd

I cannot get this APU1D4 to boot, tried 3 SD cards (Sandisk/others), using 4gb amd64 nanobsd. Boots tiny core just fine.
Have tried multiple bios versions with no change. 4/1/14, 4/5/14, 9/8/14
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/ada0s1a [rw]... mountroot: waiting for device /dev/ada0s1a ... Mounting from ufs:/dev/ada0s1a failed with error 19.
i have tried multiple boot options, like set kern.cam.boot_delay="10000" and set debug.acpi.disabled="hostres"
pressing ? at the mount prompt gives da0

I have a APU1D4, this is what you do.
2 usb sticks (or use a msata for pfsense).
usb A for the installer, usb B for pfsense.
In the APU1D4 usb A goes in the bottom usb port and usb B goes in the top one.
Install pfsenseIf you do it the other way around you get a boot error.

I actually did the usb method, but installed to the SD card, and it failed to boot - is SD just not supported? I previously had success on 2.1.5 on SD, just needed the delay setting.

2.2.2-nano works on an Apu right out of the box- write the SD card, pop it into the Apu, set the interfaces on the serial console.
x64 is recommended, but 32 bit will work also. I've loaded both 2/4 GB models with latest bios.
How did you write the SD card? Any errors? It should be easier than 2.1.5, as you don't need the delay setting. -
ok, so I tried the method mentioned in the APU pdf guide from pcengines, to load tinycore on usb, and dd the pfnano image to the SD - failed.
Loading pf memstick64 on usb, and running through a normal install to the sd worked, but i wish i had nanobsd features.

Not sure what you were doing with tinycore in the original post, but you didn't end up with nano on it as it wouldn't be mounting adaX. Just write the SD card from another machine and move it over to the APU.
