I've been tasked with setting up a VPN on our pfSense for remote users. I've used OpenVPN in the past, but for this system management wants something that doesn't require any additional software installed on the end user computers. That rules out OpenVPN and we're not looking at PPTP for obvious reasons.

Is it possible to setup an IPSEC VPN on the pfSense that works with Windows (7 Pro and 8.1 Pro), Mac OS (10.10) and iOS (7 and 8) and doesn't require any additional software be installed?

I found a few setup guides in the pfSense documentation, but I wasn't sure which would have the desired compatibility.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

        Yes.

You can use IPSec for mobile cleints, and works perfectly :)
