Installation of 2.2.2 ADI build onNetgate RCC-VE 2440 System goes fine but…
-
The restore of the backup config prevents it from booting up. Everything is fine until I restore the config and then re-assign the interfaces. It completely fails at that point.
Anyone run into this?

This has something to do with the restore ALL from my backup. The system reboots and then hangs after selecting the boot-up device. It just sits there and does nothing. Anyone able to help?
-
it doesn't hang there, it's just not configured for the proper serial port after restoring your config. That's been fixed in 2.2.3, might want to grab the latest snapshot from snapshots.pfsense.org.

Do you know what it is in the backup xml file that needs to be changed if anything?
By the way, I will try this one for today's date (17 June).

I have the system up and running with the 2.2.3 Development version. Would it work and be safe for me to back up the new config and then install the 2.2.2 and restore the system using the new backup? I would rather not have to install nightlies on this thing.

You are better off on 2.2.3. The 2.2.3 snapshots at this point (From yesterday afternoon forward) are much more stable than 2.2.2 in just about every way except the official blessing of being a release.
