Did you clear the states after applying the Limiter?
Your rule catching the traffic and sending it through the limiter is only working on TCP traffic, is that client using TCP traffic?

yes sir I just want to limit tcp traffic (up and down) because I want to give priority to udp (online games like LOL), but the game still lagging because the upload limit is not working.

    heres my setup:

    1 server - 192.168.1.100
    10 clients - 192.168.1.11–-192.168.1.20
    1 ISP 7mbps download/600kbps upload

I want to give 5mbps tcp limit (all cleints and server) with an upload limit of 300kbps
and 2mbps udp limit (all clients and server) for online gaming with an upload limit of 300kbps also
I created the rule but it seems the upload limit is not working

Ah, Ok. So what is that traffic if 192.168.1.100 is a server?
That rule will only catch connections initiated from the LAN. If that is serving files to external clients that are initiating the connection the rule will have to be on WAN or a floating 'OUT' rule on LAN.

  • I think traffic limiting can be used in conjunction with traffic shaping, yes? May want to also add a max limit on the WAN interface to be your upload and set it to use the fairq scheduler.

  • firewall rules 1.100 should go before LAN Net

Wow, how did I miss that?!  :o
Indeed the shaping rule must be above the LANnet rule otherwise all the traffic will be caught and passed by the LANnet rule.
