Its been a long time! Haven't touch much of pfsense for the past 9mos.

experts, i need your advise in here.

I have a public IP and have set it as the static WAN in my pfbox. Both wan and lan are up BUT I only get "limited connection" when I connect as client. Any advise please.

For this one, no need to be an expert.
        Simple : upgrade.
Do not keep old software if support is needed - no one remembers how old version worked ;)

"limited connection" is a message shown on a PC ?
Do better: connect to pfSense by SSH : can you ping to google.com ?
Menu: Status => Interfaces : WAN shows up ?
Are you SURE your static WAN IP still exists ? (are you able to have a connection with another router/modem device ?)
Nothing special in the (ppp) log ?

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

          • Can you browse this? http://www.msftncsi.com/ncsi.txt
          • What's the output of this?

          drill dns.msftncsi.com

          Otherwise, kindly describe "limited connection".
