Has anyone brought up the idea of Scheduling traffic shaping rules to allow more bandwidth at certain times.

For example late at night when most of the users have gone to sleep. I would like my unknown ports queue to have more bandwidth..

Just thought i throw it out.

Not easily doable as the traffishaping is stateful. This means if a state is created it will be assigned to a queue and you can't move it to another queue later.

I can change the bandwidth of a queue and right away i can see users using the increased bandwidth. I guess i could write a script that changes this every night and lowers in the morning.

adjusting queues would work. moving already established traffic from one queue to another one won't.
