Trying to change outside port different then inside port.

I just want to be able to access my WAN IP + this port 5858 and i want it to redirect to the local PC at 10.0.1.8 on port 80.
IE: go to login from a browser to my WAN IP 184.2.X.X:5858 and have it access a machine on the local network 10.0.1.8:80
I am trying to setup NAT Port Forwarding.
I have tried all the ways i cant think of. I don't see any tuts on this specifically. Not sure what to put in all the fields.
Protocol: TCP
Interface: WAN(shaw)
Destination: WAN address
Destination port range: 5858
Redirect target IP: 10.0.1.8
Redirect target port: 80Also tried
Destination: WAN address
Destination port range:80
Redirect target IP: 10.0.1.8
Redirect target port: 5858and
Interface: WAN(shaw)
Destination: LAN address
Destination port range: 5858
Redirect target IP: 10.0.1.8
Redirect target port: 80Also tried
Destination: LAN address
Destination port range:80
Redirect target IP: 10.0.1.8
Redirect target port: 5858Anyone done this successfully?
Thanks for any insight!

Protocol: TCP

Destination: WAN address
Destination port range: 5858
Redirect target IP: 10.0.1.8
Redirect target port: 80That's what you want. Did you let the NAT rule create the firewall rule?
There's a good list here of things to check:

This is really a no brainer.. I have it setup.. Are you trying to do nat reflection? Are you outside your network or inside when you hit your wan IP?
I have multiple vps that hit my wan IP and redirected to lan IP on different port, since I use 443 for vpn I have them hit 8443
My guess would be you are not letting it create the firewall rule for you.. Or you have a firewall on your client that is blocking the traffic… Port forwards are really simple to troubleshoot.. Does it hit your wan? Sniff, does pfsense send it out the lan? Again simple sniff (packet capture) will show you this in 2 seconds.
This is no different then simple port forward when its the same port - pfsense doesnt care ;)

Thanks guys, it looks like i'm doing it right, yes it was creating the firewall rule and it looks proper to me, just still isn't working. Ill have to figure out packet sniffing and see where its getting hung up.
Also there was multiWAN setup on this router in the past, i tried to disable it all, but maybe there's something there messing stuff up too.
At least now i know I'm doing it right so I can work on it from here.

Did you go through the port forwarding troubleshooter.. Just logged into a guy to help him out and he had captive portal enabled.. Yeah that keeps stuff from answering ;)

What concerns me is you would even attempt to swap the ports - that tells me not really understanding the process at a basic level.
