      Hi all,

This is very unusual behaviour.I have pfsense 2.2.4 on an old hp Proliant G4 machine (xeon 3.ghz, 3 gb ram and raid 1 scsi). We have 3 intrfaces on this box, 10/100 on the mobo  and another 2x10/100/1000 RLTEK.
Problem is … from time to time this box becomes unavailable...just not answering to ping or unable to connect to vpn.We also use NAT on to redirect to some websites...still not responding.
After a random period of time...it just works. There is nothing unusual in the logs...i suspect a hw issue. Do you have any ideas what can go wrong?

      thanks in advance

      Happy PfSense user :)

Have you checked the buffers on the NIC? When you say crash do you mean it stops responding only or powers down? I would guess if it just stops responding it is likely your NIC having some kind of failure. I had a similar problem with a failing Realtek card buffers would fill and the card stopped responding.

It just stop responding. And yes I belive is Realtek. I'll have a look to interface buffers and see.
              Thanks
