      I've waited to update since downtime is a concern on one specific node.

      yes, the serial IO should be addressed by myself, again, time has not been on my side.

      Has the serial not and bug 'issue' been addressed, is it safe to update from 2.2.1 => 2.2.4 without the extra time of KVM

      Thanks

          @doktornotor:

          What bug?

          Not a bug. There was an issue with having an active, unused serial connection while updating from 2.2.1 => 2.2.3
          Which caused a minor issue during the update restart. Where there should be no active/ un-used IO components to begin with imo, yet an oversight in some situations.
          I'll look it up this evening, not in the position to do so at the moment.

              That only affected upgrading to 2.2.2, not 2.2.3, and even on 2.2.2 it was fixed in the update files after a day or so. It's been safe for a long time.

              2.2.4 is definitely OK.
