      Hi,

I connected a 2.5" disk to a USB >> IDE interface at a linux  box, booted from the pfsense CD and choosed to install pfsense to that 2.5 disk.  The installation went well, and I installed the drive in a Soekris 4801 box.

I connected a serial cable to the 4801, switched hyperterminal! to 19200 and it booted nicely from the 2.5 drive.  However a while out in the pfsense boot process the baudrate apparently switched to 9600 and it finally stopped with the following message:

Fast IPsec: Initialized Security Association Processing.
      ad0: 38154MB <ic25n040atcs04 0="" ca4oa71a="">at ata0-master UDMA33
Trying to mount root from ufs:/dev/da0s1a
      Manual root filesystem specification:
        <fstype>:<device>  Mount <device>using filesystem <fstype>eg. ufs:da0s1a
?                  List valid disk boot devices
        <empty line="">      Abort manual input
      mountroot>

It seems that the pfsense installer has set the boot drive name as of the installation (which was through a USB/IDE adapter).  How can I set the drive's boot partition to the first IDE drive in this situation (hda?)?

Also, is it possible to set the serial port baud rate of pfsense to the same (19200) speed as soekris' default?

      regards

      Tor</empty></fstype></device></device></fstype></ic25n040atcs04>
