      Hi,

      I have an Alix2d13 board with a CompactFlash 4GB card. The Board has no VGA but console.

      I have installed the following image on the card: pfSense-2.2.4-RELEASE-4g-i386-nanobsd-20150725-1956.img (pfSense-2.2.4-RELEASE-4g-i386-nanobsd.img.gz)

      At the first startup of the board, without the CF card, I have changed the baud rate to 9600 in order to have the same speed like the pfsense is using.
      Further I have verivied that CHS mode is set in the BIOS of the Alix.

      When I try to boot it with the CF card the screen looks like following:
      As soon as the pfsense starts to boot the output displays very strange characters.

      I have even flashed the Alix with the firmware version "v0.99h" but it did not help and now I am back at version "v0.99m".

      Before I have flashed the CF card I have cleaned the card with "diskpart/select disk XY/clean"

      Does anyone have an idea?

      Markus

        @multicast:

        Set the baud rate to 115200 on the BIOS and use this. PfSense 2.2.x defaults to 115200 and not 9600.
