      i setup a pfsense last week, i made pfsense as my firewall.
      i can not join my client ing joining my domain server

      my network setup was

      isp
      l
      router 10.0.1.1
      l
      pfsense 192.168.1.1
      l
      switch
      l
      all the client(192.168.1.100-200) including my domain server(192.168.1.38)

      Please help

        Not a pfSense issue. LAN -> LAN traffic never hits the firewall.

            Only thing that comes to mind is making sure that you have configured DHCP correctly on pfSense to point DNS to your Domain Controllers.

              If you can't join a Windows domain from a client then it could be any number of things. DNS as already suggested. Bad/wrong admin password. Mis-spelt domain. Insufficient privileges. But this isn't really a pfSense question anyway, so if all else fails Google is your friend.

                wait im confused why is your router 10.0.1.1? Also you need to disable DHCP on pfSense because windows server handles the DHCP and DNS
                Also when installing windows server FIRST install active directory domain services then install role DHCP
                should it be OR atleast  that's how I have it.

                  Theres a number of ways you can setup windows server, you have the dhcp/static ip clients being handled by pfsense or windows server.
