I'm trying to bring several of these Netgate ALIX.2D13 appliances to the latest version from 2.0. Like a blind a dumb man, I let it do the auto-update and now its stuck in mountroot. From searching forums, I've figured it has to do with the drivers and renaming of the CF device but I can't get this thing to boot. I guess what I need is two-fold. First, for the two test ones that are now stuck in mountroot, how do I get them to boot, and second, how do I get the rest of them to remotely upgrade without touching them all physically. I'll paste in my logs below:

        Hi,

I don't know nothing about boot problems on dedicated devices, I prefer dedicated small 'real' PC for running pfSEnse, but what I know is that this:

ACPI: Try disabling either ACPI or apic support.

=> ACPI troubles. I've seen many issues with ACPI in the (this) forum.

Try switching the related ACPI option in your 'bios' …
The same thing goes for the ATA/IDE interfaces

No "help me" PM's please. Use the forum, the community will thank you.
Edit : and where are the logs ??

For what its worth, I was able to crack open the case, pull out the CF, install 'netgate-2.2-RELEASE-4g-i386-nanobsd.m1n1wall.img' to the CF and it successfully boots into 2.2 (free bsd 10.1).  So the question becomes, why won't the auto upgrade work and what the heck is stopping the device from booting after.
