      Hi all.

Did a small upgrade to my PC. Now every time i reboot the PFsense box i get a mountroot error that is only fixed by typing in  "ufs:/dev/ada0s1a"

How can i make this a permanent change?

Thanks in advance for any assistance

Ah, changing MB is "small upgrade", hmmm…  Do a configuration backup and simply reinstall and restore the config.

                Motherboard..

This is the main component of any PC , Server or appliance! The CPU, RAM and drives and all other devices
are connected to this main component. Small means the CPU, RAM, PCIe card, miniPCI(e) card SSD/HDD.

You should not wait as I see it right, do it now, there is no other trick or tip to surround this situation.
