Hi guys. Would this be a good pfsense machine? Whats your estimation about lan-wan throughput?

I don´t know what your little machine is able to push at the WAN to the LAN and this is
only related to the circumstance that I don´t know if pfSense will run on it!Jetway NF9HG-2930 Intel Celeron Quad Core Fanless PC w/ 4X Intel LAN, 2GB, M350
But this one here is similar to yours from the CPU, RAM and also based on Intel GB LAN Ports and able to
push 1 GBit/s over the WAN Port and also running snort by side. Please note that all installed packets, offered services, enabled functions and turned on options
a narrowing down the entire speed and performance of the pfSense box. -
Thank you!!!

yanakis, did you end up trying the ubox? If so, how did it work out for you?

I just received my Ubox and I installed pfsense with no issues at all. It barely gets warm.
Haven't ran any tests for bandwidth yet. My home connection is 150/150, so I will check out the performance a bit later.

Hi,

It's working great! I've set up a bandwidth limit to 145mb up and down, to prevent saturating the connection, and the CPU usage doesn't get above 25-30% during speedtests. It seems like this was a really good choice for what I was trying to accomplish.

Thanks for getting back to me. What protection are you using on this box another words are you using Snort? Are you getting your full internet speed when running speedtest?
