Pfsense and GPUs

Hey, I was reading about how some people were able to use GPUs to help process information in routers, and were able to push extreme amounts of bandwidth. Would it be possible for pfsense to do this somehow?

This news or informations are from the year 2010 and this routers are so called "PacketShader"
they are coming up to process round about 40 GBit/s throughput. A university in south Korea
were doing some research on this also.As todays Chelsio cards were also able to saturate 40 GBit/s I don´t thing there is a need for

From what I can find, they were able to get something like up-to 4x improvement on PPS, up to saturating the IO. They did mention they were able to handle making sure packets were processed in order and even handling IP fragments, but I'm not sure if this setup would work with a stateful firewall.
