      Hi,

I know pfSense since some years and so it's not completely new to me. I was wondering if it's possible to setup pfSense as a standalone shaper … and how to achive this?! In "normal" environments you have WAN and LAN. But what I want to achive, is 2 NICs bridged together to primary use pfSense shaping capabilities and secondary maybe also some packet filtering.

I tried some approaches ... but ran against walls. I have a machine with 2 Intel NICs, and cant put a 3rd inside. So it's not a solution just not to use the 3rd NIC (LAN) and bridge the remaining to shape inside the bridge.

Maybe someone knows or can give me a hint, how to modify a regular setup to have afterwards a bridged setup with only one IP to access pfSense.

Seems to be (something like) working now … started with only configurating WAN interface (without LAN). Then a 2nd Interface ... bridged ... and then shaper wizard.
