I found that my multiple gateways are decorated differently in System - Gateways:

ONLIME has "default" mark, it's description is red backgrounded and it has checkmark at left.

      AKADO has no "default" mark.

MGTS has no checkmark and it's description background is colored light navy.

What does it mean and how to control it?

You don't control the color in any way. If you modify the entries or create those manually, they have different color.

auto gateways without customizations = grey/blue-ish
manual gateways or gateways with customizations = red

checkmark is used if you wish to select multiple gateways and delete them

Why there is no checkmark near one of gateways? What if I wish to select and delete namely it?

You do NOT delete any such thing like a GW automatically generated by DHCP. Simple. Please, leave the thing alone, there's nothing to be found there.

Then kindly state what's broken instead of asking completely pointless questions about GUI colors… It won't work any better even if you make it green or pink.
