dnsmasq has an option to specify the source address of DNS queries, so they can pass down an IPSEC tunnel. unbound does not seem to offer this.

Am I missing something or is there a work-around?

really? Couldn't you just select your ipsec interface in the outgoing interface dialog for unbound?

Looking for a solution to the same problem. My IPSEC tunnels are now shown in DNS resolver settings.
