The wiki is very outdated and doesnt state what exactly do to.

How do you setup a L2TP/IPSec server in pfSense?

        Eeeeeeh? https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/L2TP/IPsec

This is very extremely outdated, whopping 5 months and covering current release.  :o ::)

Have you tested it out yourself? When I said "extremely outdated", I ment that the instructions do not work with the latest versión of pfSense. It has been that way since a "whopping" 5 months.

When something doesn't work for you, kindly read the other doc regarding troubleshooting IPsec and produce some logs here. Alternatively, you can try a crystal ball. If you claim that the wiki doc "doesnt state what exactly do to" then you apprently have severe problems with reading.

What exactly didn't work? And are you certain it was the firewall that didn't work? L2TP/IPsec client support is extremely inconsistent and in some cases broken.

Move on to IKEv2… L2TP/IPsec isn't worth the trouble.
