Upgrade to 2.2.5 unable to load packages
-
Updated to version 2.2.5, everything went well till it tried reloading the packages we use. Loaded the ntoppng without issue, then tried snort and pfblocker which both failed.
PFsense is up and running semi-properly, full access to the Internet , so decided to just load snort and pfblocker directly from the package option to reset the two packages. When I go to the Package option to load snort and pfblocker I get the following message.
Unable to communicate with https://packages.pfsense.org. Please verify DNS and interface configuration, and that pfSense has functional Internet connectivity.
I can communicate with the Internet and can get to pfsense since I'm now writing to the forum using the updated PFsense. If I try on the browser the package web site I get a page saying i'm on the package web site.
Pfsense is showing:
2.2.5-RELEASE (amd64)
built on Wed Nov 04 15:49:37 CST 2015
FreeBSD 10.1-RELEASE-p24You are on the latest version.
Which suggest it can talk to the pfsense servers. I can also ping the pfsense packages servers without issues.
How can I get the package manager to function properly to be able to reload pfblocker and snort?
Thanks

Perhaps wait till they've fixed their IPv6 screwup. Or temporarily tick this:

Thanks, that did it.

IPv6 connectivity to the pfsense.org servers seems to have returned to normal for me in the past few hours, though it was very broken for much of the past day or so.

Definitely not here. Still completely broken.

It looks like I spoke too soon - I'm seeing massive IPv6 brokenness to *.pfsense.org again :(
