I did read the Upgrade Guide. I just want make sure I didn't miss anything else.
My pfsense box currently is running 2.2.2. I haven't update for a while :-. Someone please give me insights how to upgrade this to latest 2.2.5 smoothly without any problems.
Here are the packages that I currently have:

arpwatch, Cron, nmap, pfBlockerNG, Service Watchdog, snort.

So far, I backed up config and config with RRD. I know I need to remove all the packages before the upgrade. My noob questions are:

      1. Should I use "Manual Update" via WebGUI or "Upgrade from console"?
      2. After the upgrade, do I have to manually reinstall each package before reload my old configuration file?
      3. Do you reload the backup configuration file with RRD after the upgrade?

Anything else I should be aware?

      Thanks

There's really no need to remove packages, or anything like that.

        1/ Doesn't matter.
        2/ See above.
        3/ Why?

Not sure where you got the idea you need to uninstall packages.
Why would you have to reload your config?  Unless worse case and it completely crashed and burned, there is no reason to have to reload anything
As to RRD, again same thing - unless the upgrade really crashed and burned no need for this.

The VAST majority of the time, just click the upgrade process in the gui and your golden, few minutes later after reboot your running shiny new 2.2.5..

With anything something could go wrong, your drive could take a dump during the upgrade.. You could loose power in the middle of process (do you have it on ups?) etc.. so sure take a backup of the config for safety.  But 9999 out 10,000 times clickity clickity your on new version without issue.

It is always safest to remove packages before upgrading to a new major release. Packages will be reinstalled afterward, but are frequently a source of problems. To ensure a smooth upgrade, note the installed packages, remove them, perform the upgrade, and then reinstall whichever packages are necessary.

It's included in Upgrade Guide. So, I guess my upgrade isn't a new major release from 2.2.2 to 2.2.5? Will the packages and their configurations stay the same after the upgrade done right?

yeah all the packages configs will stay the same..  No 2.2.2 to 2.2.5 is not a major release, 2.1.x to 2.2.x would be a major update.  Normally they mention if major changes in the release notes.  For example the upcoming 2.3 going to be major changes.  But even then prob no need to uninstall the packages unless its a problematic one..  Make sure you read the release notes on an update, wait a few days and read the forums on other peoples experiences with the update if your concerned and this is critical production system, etc.

              Upgrade Guidance

As always, you can upgrade from any previous version straight to 2.2.5. For those already running any 2.2.x version, this is a low risk upgrade. For those on 2.1.x or earlier versions, there are a number of significant changes which may impact you. Pay close attention to the 2.2 Upgrade Notes for the details.
