Hello! While laying in bed about 30 minutes ago I got a random thought, is it possible to install pfSense on an already existing router? I know you can upgrade firmware, but is it possible to actually install it on there? Thanks!

(Probably either the dumbest idea or somewhat decent idea, since I have 2 routers laying around)

I hardly understand pfSense but it was love at first sight.

Think about other things while in bed.

=> Make this note : IF your (SOHO) router has the same hardware as a 'classic' PC, it 'might' work.

Edit : and where are the logs ??

Yeah I should probably think about more productive things, but I'll go check when I actually get some sleep. It's 7 AM for me now, I was supposed to sleep 9 hours ago.  ::)
