Amazon Public IP for local network

  • Hi,

I'm running pfSense in Amazon VPC environment. My peer address is a public IP and my local network is the subnet ( which NAT behind the WAN ip (

What I require is my local network address to be a public IP. Has anyone perhaps have a setup like this?

  • By "local network address", you mean the IP that actually gets assigned to the AWS instance? AWS doesn't allow that, it must be NATed.
