      For YEARS now I keep reading hardware reviews, and people simply note - 'I use this rig to run pfSense'.
      I thought to myself who needs this, there is Debian, VirtualBox, OMV, eh…

      I was so mistaken.
      As for my excuse I am a bit shy of BSD, my inner-geek tells me not to be but in reality I am over my head with Linux-already. 'Retooling' to BSD-only is not an option for me, I am not a Unix 'talent'. I love *nixes, but I am not handy.

      So and whatever I finally installed and now using pfSense on a vbox internal network, for about a month.
      I am beginning to see, and I just re-designed my networking models.

      I believe I am going to drop a bunch of Debian server/service installs in favor of servers/services in pfSense!

      This was the long way to say hi, pfSense is awesome, and you guys creating and maintaining this are rock-stars of computing.
      !! KUDOS !!

          @cmb:

          Thanks!

          I'm just wondering if there shouldn't be a sticky'd thank you thread in the feedback forum.

          People do post such messages - https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=94015.0 etc.

          And there is genuine interest in "this is how pfSense changed my life" and "what do you use it for?" stories - https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?topic=102961.0 etc.

          Myself, I have worked in IT for decade+ and have used pfSense for 8ish years. Until three years ago I was working for SMBs and what I do at home puts the earlier IT company employer's infrastructure to shame. Now I work in the IT department for a school and get excited whenever my boss mentions he is considering pfSense, after my strongest recommendations.

          Edit - with perhaps a subtle reminder to this - https://blog.pfsense.org/?p=1579

            I think a sticky thread for people to share their pfSense stories is an excellent idea. I have some other stuff to take care of, but consider it on my radar.
