When will e2Guardian be available as a pfSense package ?

I'm a new to pfSense, just installed pfSense with Snort and working through tuning the rules for my environment.

I really need e2Guardian to be available for pfSense as a package.  I just wanted to check my understanding of where it is  :-

I understand that e2Guardian will not be available as a pfSense package until v2.3 is released ?  Is that correct ?

If so, is there an estimate on when pfSense 2.3 will be available ?

I believe e2Guardian can be installed natively in FreeBSD, how easy is that for a novice ?
