I was casually browsing the forum and decided to click on the 'stats' page : https://forum.pfsense.org/index.php?action=stats and was interested to see that the 2nd most popular subforum is "Portuguese" :

I am from the US. My parents just returned from Portugal (they had a great trip).  I didn't know pfSense had such a big following over there. Just wondering if anyone knows the reason that pfSense is so popular there?

It's much more Brazil than Portugal. Brazil has the second most visits of any country across our sites (US is first), upwards of 100,000 page views from there alone to this site in the past month (per Google Analytics). Portugal is 35th, Brazil has roughly 25 times as much traffic.

Check out another thing: how many people on earth speak natively Portuguese.
            You will be surprised.
