Hello,
I have make the upgrade of a VM (VMWare vm-8) in labo.
1. after the upgrade : router is not UP
2. after reset power supply : router is up, but, the https interface is not accessible.Do you have an idea ?
For this time, I make a return to the previous snapshot.

You don't give enough detail to even start to guess what might have gone wrong. Were there any error messages on the console? Any errors during the upgrade? What type of install? Did you have enough free disk space when upgrading?
I have upgraded many VMs to 2.2.6 already and had zero problems.

upgraded mine this morning without issue.. Everything working, on vpn to it now, etc..

After the upgrade, I go in the VMWare console, and I have message style : "USB connection / disconnection …"
I make a reset of the power, and after pfsense boot normally with the installation of vmware tools package. After this, the firewall is up (with +/- 10 VPN IPSec), but : no ssh,no https, and in VMWare console : "no reaction" when I make an keyboard input (enter or a numérical key)
I have provisionned 18Gb and I use 7Gb

What vmware product are you actually running this on?
what vmware tool package are you installing.. The open one or the native one?
So what other packages do you have installed? Why would you provision 18GB.. pfsense sure and the hell doesn't need that much space unless your running say squid with caching, etc..

Hello Johnpoz,
What vmware product are you actually running this on?
ESXi 6.0 3073146 (Network card : VMXNet3)
what vmware tool package are you installing.. The open one or the native one?
The package in pfSense
So what other packages do you have installed? Why would you provision 18GB.. pfsense sure and the hell doesn't need that much space unless your running say squid with caching, etc..
Space for logging, and package … It's in Thin Provisionning ...

Your a patch behind it seems, current is 3247720
That for sure shouldn't cause any problems.. So why don't you just load your snapshot you took before you did the upgrade?
You say after the upgrade router is not up? Did it finish the upgrade, did it reboot on its own? Or sounds like you power cycled it before it was done?
Boot your snap, install new and reload your backup config.

No response at the console is probably because something/someone turned on scroll lock inside the VM (hit the up arrow to confirm, screen will scroll back if scroll lock's on).
