      hi folks

      due to a recent speed upgrade from my ISP (UPC) to 500MBit/s, I need new pfSense hardware. my old setup allows only about 150 megs  :-\

      My plan is to buy a SG-4860 appliance. has anyone some experience with the performance?

      is 500MBit/s a realistic value?

      planned setup:
      3 subnets, each on a physical port
      about 10 nat rules
      openvpn (only on demand)

      and if there is enough power left:
      snort and/or
      pfblocker

        That'll do 500 Mb with snort and pfblocker no problem.

          I do 500Mbps on mine with IPSec!
