      Using pfSense 2.1.5.

Can't seem to find any way to do this through the GUI without knowing I'm going to lock myself out.

I have two interfaces currently bridged (one for ethernet and one is going to a wireless adapter).  I want to repurpose one of the physical interfaces and switch LAN back to the other physical interface.

I cannot find any way to do this given that the UI keeps complaining that my physical interface is now assigned to two interfaces (the LAN and interface I created against the physical interface to allow creation of the bridge).

I also cannot delete the interface on the physical interface as it's attached to the bridge.

I cannot delete the interface from the bridge as that will end up locking me out of the LAN.

The problem here is that pfSense seemingly won't let me batch up these changes.  Bridge modifications take effect immediately.  Interface deletion takes effect immediately.

Is there no way to do this without locking myself out and having to jump between the two interfaces with ethernet cable just to get onto the LAN after I "break" the bridge?

Why would you still be using 2.1.5??  It is no longer a supported version..

if you have dicked up your install, I would just start from scratch with current version.

You can reassign the LAN to the real interface instead of the bridge interface.
Then you can remove the interface from the bridge or the bridge itself as it will no longer be in use.

Convert your WAN to another LAN for the time it takes you to get in and change things.
