IP interface doesn't respond after switched CARP

  • Hi all,

    I have two pfsense 2.2.6.
pfsense A is the master - network interface IP :
pfsense B is the backup - network interface IP :
    I deployed CARP - virtual IP :

From a VM in this LAN I can ping, and

When pfsense A enters in persistent CARP maintenance mode, I can ping, and
When I leave the CARP maintenance mode, it's the same thing. OK.

When I shutdown the A interface, pfsense B becomes the master and I can ping and IPs. No, because interface 1 is down. OK.

When I turn on the A interface, pfsense A becomes again the master and pfsense B the backup. I can ping and IP, but I can't ping (interface B). I must do apply changes in interface B to ping it anew.

    Anyone have this problem?

Why would you do that and why do you consider it a problem?
