    How useful will the new dummynet AQMs be to ALTQ users?

      FreeBSD will soon have codel, PIE, fq_codel, and fq_pie implemented in dummynet.

      Many are interested in fq_codel, but I fear it may be of limited usefulness to us in dummynet. Most that I have read says dummynet & ALTQ do not mix well.

      Any information/links/papers about how useful these dummynet AQMs will be to ALTQ users would be very appreciated.

      fq_codel in dummynet should be exactly what we need for the newbie pfSense user though. Bufferbloat solved with minimal configuration with no worry about queues or assigning traffic. :D

      Please correct any obvious misinformation in my posts.
