      Hi all.

I've run into an issue installing 2.2.6 on my WatchGaurd X1250e. I'm aware of the ata mode fix, which I enter at boot up, but when the device boots up, immediately after the Welcome to pfSense screen, while it attempts to create the symlinks it says "grep: /cf/conf/config.xml no such file or directory". It then repeats "[: : bad number" for a good number of lines. I've attached the imgur album with the errors.

      Thanks for any help.

I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing here.

Should I cross post this to the software support forum?

I'm not exactly sure what I'm doing here.

          Try reflashing your CF card.

I've tried that a number of times, but thanks for the tip.

You're probably flashing the wrong image, the upgrade one rather than the full one.

Should I be flashing the upgrade or the full?

I'd say, try with a full image.
Also double-check the size of it.
Maybe you could just try with another (brand type) card.

I did think it might be the card, but this card has worked for 2.1. I'll try the full when I get home; if that doesn't work, I'll see about getting a second card to test with.

                    Thanks for the help.

I agree with cmb, it looks like you wrote out an upgrade image and not a full nanobsd image. So it doesn't have both OS slices and it's missing the config slice.

When decompressed, the 4GB full image should be ~4GB total. If you check the one you have, it's likely only half the size it should be.

That, or try a new card.
