I have this Aruba 650 Controller, it's a wifi controller. Can I install Pfsense on it?
Maybe a dumb question, but your help is appreciated

If its hardware is listed as supported in the FreeBSD Hardware compatibility list then you have a chance. Doubt it.

pfSense is a software firewall based on x86 or x86_64 system architecture if this controller is matching such criteria
it could be, I would at first search for some success stories or the internal architecture tech specs. of this controller.

Thank you jahonix and BlueKobold, I can't find any earlier stories of a Pfsense install on this controller. I'll keep searching ;-)

Maybe have a look what hardware is inside that box. If the CPU is not x86 or amd64 compatible then save your time.

Also why would you try turn a enterprise grade wireless controller/firewall into a pfsense router?
