      Hi everybody,

      I have the idea to mount a pfsense firewall and a openwrt access point to a 19'' rack,
      both within one single 1he case.

      The two boards are in microatx format or even smaller,  so space shouldn't be a problem.

      Does someone have an idea how to get the ethernet ports (FW-LAN, FW-WAN, AP-LAN) connected to front RJ45 jacks ?
      I mean all the ports should be able to be patched from the front.

      Can someone recommend a solution  / a 1he case for this intent ?

      Kind Regards,
      Paul :)

          all the cases I find in the Internet are for standard atx boards.

            @tirsojrp:

            I am trying to do the same thing. Find a 1u case, but I think it would look really weird and ugly when you have bunch of cables sticking out the front when they are not needed at all.

            I dunno, I thought of buying a pci extender cable, and make a RJ45 hole in the front and put the RJ45 female at the front of the case. Sounds a bit complicated, but I think that is our only option.

                  The front panel can be customized!

                  If not it would be better or a workaround to connect them to a Switch and there the ports could be patched
                  better to other devices or ports.
