I have a HP Pavilion p7-1234 PC and installed a quad port nic but I could not configure the ports it would just stop. Somebody on this forum said that it was ether my nic or my chipset was not supported. The chipset I have is the AMD Hudson-D2 FCH chipset. I am going to buy a new 2 port nic http://www.amazon.com/Intel-1000-Dual-Server-Adapter/dp/B000BMXME8/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8 and befor I do that I would like to know if my chipset is supported. This is the link to the HP Pavilion p7-1234 PC's Specifications http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c03363664

      Thank you for your time

The Intel card would be well supported by pfSense. If money is not rare and you are willing to buy a
Intel i350T2 or i354T4 you would be also really nice surprised about the driver support.

Or you would be looking first at some statements about this NIC at first and its pfSense compatibility.
