HP Proliant G9, ESXi 6.0.0, pfSense 2.2.6 Release 64, stuck at bootstrap loader

System: HP Proliant DL120 G9, 2TB HDD, Raid 0
Hypervisor: Esxi 6.0.0
2 Port LOM NIC (Intel Corp I350 Gigabit), and
4 port add-on NIC (Broadcom Corp NetXtreme BCM5719): (two WANs, and one three port LAN, the remaining one I left for the vmkernel for Esxi Management)
This server is purely set up for pfsense to act as my router, firewall, load balancer, caching, etc.
CPU: Socket 1, Core 2
1 Gb ram, and 250GB HDD dedicated (HP Dynamic Smart Array B140i controller)Hi all
Disclaimer: I'm pretty new to ESXi and pfSense. After going through a number of how-to threads and youtube videos, I managed to setup the pfSense VM. I set the image to be read from Datastore ISO file under CD/DVD drive settings. However, when I start the VM the installation gets stuck at bootstrap loader line, and nothing else happens. I couldn't find any solution for this problem. So, if I am re-posting a previously discussed and resolved issue, for that I am sorry. In the meantime, any help would be truly appreciated.

Is your ISO 64-bit?
Is your virtual machine 32-bit? -
Both are 64 bit.
BTW, I enforced the VM BIOS to start before pfSense ISO was run. Interestingly, the BIOS doesn't see the Primary Master! Does this mean FreeBSD doesn't see the HDD? If so, could this be the problem of HPE Dynamic Smart Array Controller?
[EDIT]: I rebuilt the VM, this time with IDE. The HDD now shows up in the BIOS, but BTX still stops at the same place with no activity.

pfsense works fine with esxi. No clue why it doesnt on your setup. Are you sure the iso is ok?

No. I'm not sure! I can do a hash verification though.

RESOLVED: Thank you for the heads up on the hash verification of the file. I downloaded it again, and redid the install. It finally worked!
Now, a new problem has surfaced, which I dreaded from the beginning:
I have two NIC cards installed on the Machine. 1) One is the embedded (on-board) 2 port NIC – I have two ISPs. So, I want to do two WANs, and use these two ports for the the two ISP connections. I should also note that one of these two ports is recognized by the ESXi as vmnic0. The other vmnic1. 2) The other is a For the 4-port NIC --- I wanted to use two ports or three ports for LAN from this NIC and aggregate them together, and leave the last port for the vmkernel so that I can directly connect to the ESXi host should something go wrong.
The problem now is that pfSense does NOT see the LOM 4-port NIC (model stated above). So, I have to deal with that now! Under PfSense HW compatibility list, I am not able to locate that model (hence the dreading)! Any ideas?

But pfSense should see virtual NICs that are attached to vSwitches. Does ESXi see the real NICs?

Yes, it does.
[EDIT]: pfSense doesn't see the third (and more) interface(s) until you install it and get to the interface management (either in gui or the kernel). Best place would be the gui where you would see it as OPT1. PS: This edit was meant for newbies such as myself who have just begun entering the wonderful world of pfsense.

One point at last from me to this on top, HP has mostly his own and custom version of ESXi to work
with their Servers well, perhaps you should have a look to this.
