      hi, i am trying to find if that hardware works with pfsense. i dont want to install it as a vm. so is there anyone who can answer if pfsense work on that specific hardware? i will add an NC364T to it.

        yes it works - just installed by disabling the RAID adaptor and used as normal SATA drives - works like a charm

          Kind of bad choice for a pfsense box.. Its big, has space for lots of drives, it uses way more power then a "router/firewall" would need.  Much better as a VM host with pfsense just one of the VMs.  That would be my advice.

            hehehe - you are right !! checked the power consumption, its 42W and I am running it with 10x camera system on it. my main intention was performance and it give me at 42W. Perhaps not the best choice - just wanted people to know it works and worth a try.
