NAT reflection?
-
Hi,
what's technically happening when enabling NAT reflection to reach internal servers on their public IP? Is it an additional SNAT rule? On the internal server the internal or public IP of pfsense is appearing. Is there a possiblity to keep the IP of the internal client? What is the proxy doing? What's the difference between the kinds of NAT reflections?
(I've read that split-dns is a solution, but nevertheless I'd like to know what NAT reflection is doing).
Thank you in advance.
