I have 4 PPPoE internet connection each 20/1. I am looking for something to link them all together to give me a higher upload speed, currently 1 meg. I have tried different things in Ubuntu and XP but none seem to work.

What I want to know before I make the leap is, can this be done with pfsense or am I wasting my time trying.

All comments or suggestions would be much appreciated and welcomed

The loadbalancer in pfSense only balances connection.
So you can upload on 4 concurrent connections each 1Mbit.

        So it's not 1x4Mbit, but 4x1Mbit.

We do what we must, because we can.

So what your saying is you can upload 4 100k files simultaniously in 1 second but you cannot upload a 400k file in 1 second. Is this correct.!!

            yes.
Each upload-connection will be round-robin'ed onto the availlable WAN's.

If you really need this sort of thing then give http://www.fluidata.co.uk/products/purefluid.htm a call. Theyre quite good with existing connections although your pfsense box ends up being a firewall/router rather than load-balancer.

And would this configuration give me an increase in speed as its not going through a specific NIC but 4 load balanced NIC's
