      OK so i have been playing around with the L2TP/IPSEC setting for awhile now and still havent been able to get it working properly. I set the server IP to an unsued one, gave it a ip range but when i connect to the VPN tunnel it sets my IP to 192.168.20.13 no matter what. The pFsense box acts as a gateway for internal and external clients. Ip address is handled by our DC so pfsense doesnt do any of that. Question is that is this because the PfSense box doesnt hand out ip addresses?

      heres an example

      Server IP: 192.168.20.13
      Remote Address Range: 192.168.20.100
