How to ensure Tiers / Load Balancing is working?

How to check if Load Balancing and/or Failover is working?

Is it possible to disable one of interfaces programmatically (from control panel)?

1. If I check off Interfaces -> MyDefaultInterface -> Enable Interface

Then no any connection possible

2. If I go to System -> Gateways -> and click green arrow near MyDefaultInterface, turning it dimmed,

then I am still connecting via default interface (according to whatismyipaddress.com)

3. If I go to System -> Gateways -> MyDefaultInterface (e) -> Mark Gateway as Down,

then I am still connecting via default interface (according to whatismyipaddress.com)

I.e. no any way to turn off one card and see that failover worked.

Are there any other ways?

Gateway status will show you which interface is up or down including gateway groups.
