I can't seem to set Queue limit for the LAN codelq scheduler to anything less or more than the default 50. I get an error while reloading filters. Help?

There were error(s) loading the rules: /tmp/rules.debug:73: syntax error - The line in question reads [73]: altq on vmx1 codelq ( qlimit 40 ) bandwidth 9200Kb queue @ 2016-04-05 00:15:55

Setting the queue size for CoDel doesn't actually affect the size of the queue. It might control part of the CoDel algorithm, but overall the default should be fine. The main point of CoDel is it can dynamically size itself because of time instead of the number of packets.

If queue-limit is a variable, then I would like to tweak it to test and see if it mitigates the dropped packets.

You can play with it, but queue limit shows on every discipline, regardless of it actually being used. The UI is not complex enough to show/hide based on what is supported.
