      If I enable CodelQ on my em1 interface, which has a vlan (em1_vlan99) on it pfSense will halt completely when there's any traffic over the vlan interface requiring a hard reset to get it back up.

      Tested on 2.3.r.20160405.0247

      em1@pci0:2:0:0: class=0x020000 card=0x202d8086 chip=0x10d38086 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
          vendor    = 'Intel Corporation'
          device    = '82574L Gigabit Network Connection'
          class      = network
          subclass  = ethernet

        Similar problem here, simply disabling CodelQ on a WAN interface (no VLANs) and applying makes the interface stop processing traffic. In my case a reboot fixes it.

              Doesn't seem in any way related as vlan traffic is not mentioned at all. I'm seeing the a halt the second vlan traffic hits the altq/codelq enabled parent interface. Your issue also seems non related.
