I understand that the 1G images are not supported anymore.
So I can't make an in place upgrade from 2.2.6 to 2.3 RC.
What is the best way to upgrade and keep configuration?
Can I fully image with a 2G image and then restore the old 2.2.6 config backup?

      thanks, Till

Yes, make a new 2G or bigger CF card from a 2.2.6 or 2.3 full image.
After restoring the 2.2.6 config, as it reboots it will automagically update any necessary stuff in the old config to bring it up to the installed version.

As the Greek philosopher Isosceles used to say, "There are 3 sides to every triangle."

That has worked flawlessly. I am really impressed.
Just imaged 2.3 on a spare CF card and imported the old config.
Will move on to the next box now.
          thanks!
