I installed 2.3 last night and had to revert back to 2.2.6 . I didn't spot in the release notes any mention of the NUT package being withdrawn for 2.3 but I soon noticed when the downstream hosts on the same UPS started warning of lost comms with NUT on pfSense.

Is it possible to build in a 'pre-flight' check to the upgrade process that could warn all of us that are a bit too enthusiastic to upgrade on what is known to be lost/broken in an operational config after upgrading?

      Something like:

WARNING: The NUT package used in your current configuration is not available in 2.3, do you still wish to upgrade? (y/N)

I had other faults after upgrading that pretty much made it an instantaneous decision to go back to 2.2.6 but I will build a 2.3 test box to swap in and out next time.

There are already a couple threads for this, but it is one we intend to bring back pretty soon once the post-release fervor dies down and we have the time.

                  Yes, thank you.

Very good. Please ensure whomever is working on the nut package tests the nut dashboard widget thoroughly and adds it to the package.  I noticed a bug when adding and saving the widget in my 2.2x NanoBSD installs on a Soekris 6501 box.
