2.3 upgrade is Fine for me! - Looking for email report graph?
-
Hi all, Im in process of updating 7 or 8 pf sense devices from 2.xx to the latest version. So far everything has gone smooth, being a good citizen I took a snapshot of the vm's and of course have the backups, so whenever you do your homework you dont need to revert :)
On that note, I did notice something missing under Email Reports I had it send a daily graph of Traffic : WAN and WAN : Quality. Basically I got a good RRD graph via email of each pfsense and the uplink packet loss/time. Very nice quick easy way to identify hogs or if something is wrong w/o trolling real time sflow and such.
The report is still there but when I go into it there is no option for graph, just commands or logs. If anyone knows how I can enable that , or if its gone, is there something similar that would be fine too …
Thanks again for a good product

Yeah, also looking for this

I believe the graph in email is gone - the new back-end of the graphing engine is "real-time browser-based" and it is not easy to generate file-attachment type of images.
It had a bit of discussion in the 2.3-ALPHA-BETA-RC forum along the way - sorry I don't remember if there was any plan to try and bring that back in the future. -

Just a bump to express my dissapointment from an unsatisfied customer…
During an internet outtage the other day I took the opportunity to do an upgrade on our pfsense box, only to discover a day or so later I was no longer receiving my emailed daily reports which contain traffic graphs for all my network segments. Various searching led me to here.
This is really a bummer. This was one of the main reasons I moved to pfsense from another firewall appliance. I do recognize this functionality was never built in to pfsense to begin with, and was only available by the use of a 3rd party "plug-in" essentially. However, daily emailed reports with information graphs is pretty much standard fare these days, even on some lowly consumer routers.
Please consider adding this feature in future releases.
Thank you.
