      Hello together

I'm with Swisscom in Switzerland and I ordered a static IP from them.
Now that I haven't got a business Internet connection they sent me the login for my router. I need to type in a PPPoE Login and the static IP address. This works fine with a Zyxell Zywall, but I can't find an option within PFSense. Isn't this supported? Or is it hidden?

      Version is 2.2.6

      Thanks for your help!

        Hi!

You just enter credentials, static IP you orders will be automatically assigned to you.

I have the same problem and i can confirm that Maverick_slo solution works. The funny thing is that i get unnecessary package restarts  :

/rc.newwanip: pfSense package system has detected an IP change or dynamic WAN reconnection - 1.2.3.4 -> 1.2.3.4 - Restarting packages.

I think that you can also edid mpd5.conf and specify any static ipv4 there.

Now it's more complicated if you also have an static ipv6 allocated. In my case i've got a static /64 routed on the wan side and a delegated static /56 for lan. I cannot find a way to assign the address i want from that static /64 on the wan interface.

The problem with making something idiot proof is that the world keeps making better idiots.

Ok, thanks for the reply. I've just tested it. Seems to work, I have the IP I ordered.

I'll look into the logs if I find any such entries.
