Just a positive remark: it used to be a PITA to upgrade the system, all the packages being reinstalled, etc. Now it's over in a few minutes, and most of the time there's not even a reboot…

Is there any way to see if a re-boot is required or not before you perform an upgrade?

Took me a minute to understand what "PITA" stood for lol ;D

I second on this feature; if there a possible way this can be introduced? Would be useful to know as sometimes I wait until midnight to make updates (and after testing my identical virtual config). Could help with those who are using for production for future pfSense updates/upgrades.

I don't know how easy to implement a "Reboot is required" is.

For me a "Reboot now" or "Reboot at XX:XX" would also be ok. Just don't force a reboot right after the update.

                Update from console.

That only tells you if an update is available not if a reboot is required.
