We try to access this FTP site coal.psc.state.wv.us

However when we connect and input a username of "anonymous" with our email for the password. We immediately receive "Connection closed by remote host."

This is with/withouth FTP helper enabled and also all instruction followed by the ftp troubleshooting site. He have also tried a 1 to 1 nat that does let us see the MOTD! but the moment we enter a command "from command prompt" we get Connection closed by remote host.

We need this to work. Please help.

Can we apply this patch to pfsense?

No, but i would guess that Scott can do some magic, since he maintains the pftpx port.

Well, how can I get "Scotts" attention? We are having to submit these files manually through email "several hundred". We can get fined if we don't resolve this. Otherwise we may need to go back to our Cisco pix "yuck".

I've created a ticket for you http://cvstrac.pfsense.com/tktview?tn=1780 and you could turn to Commercial support

You are quite lucky that Perry created a ticket for this.  You do not "get my attention" via the forums.

Anyhoo, Ermal commited a fix and it should appear 2 snapshot revisions from now.  Wait about 4-5 hours and test again.. Might be slightly longer than that.

It seems my newb is showing. But where do I get the snapshot? Also, do i apply it like an update. I'm using the embedded version, so are the instructions any different?

I've just tested with snapshot pfSense-Full-Update-1.2.1-TESTING-SNAPSHOT-20080723-0316.tgz and I can access the ftp server.

                          Edit:
I see what I did wrong.
